Wan Adibah outperformed the PhD Best Project in conjunction with Student Research Day 2019

Congratulations to Wan Adibah Wan Mahari, graduate student of the School of Ocean Engineering who has been awarded the PhD Best Project for the Engineering & Technology category in conjunction with the Student Research Day (SRD) 2019 through a project entitled Microwave pyrolysis – an innovative pyrolyzer to transform waste into fuel. More interestingly, Wan Adibah was also awarded the ‘Vice Chancellor Champions Trophy’ (Postgraduates).

The two-days SRD2019 was held on 20 to 21 May 2019 at the Sultan Mizan Hall is a program organized by UMT which brings together final year students of undergraduate and postgraduate students. The program aims to provide UMT students the opportunity to share research results that have been carried out to relevant industries and to highlight the university’s assets to the community.

Wan Adibah’s, a PhD student in Chemical Technology under the supervision of Associate Prof. Ts Dr. Lam Su Shiung is expected to graduate this year.
