PPKK is honoured to receive a working visit from the National Hydraulic Research Institute (NAHRIM) on April 3, 2019. NAHRIM represented by YBrs Ir Hj Mohd Fauzi Mohamad, Deputy Director-General of NAHRIM and Ir Hj Mohd Radzi Abdul hamid, Director of Coastal and Oceanographic Research Center with the Dean of the School of Ocean Engineering (PPKK) to discuss the ongoing collaboration, including the use of laboratories in NAHRIM for the work of physical modeling of researchers and students of the PPKK. The nearest project that will use the concept of joint venture is the design of Cylindrical Floating Breakwater Shoreline Coastal Protection led by Associate Professor Ir Dr Mohammad Fadhli Ahmad and assisted by a joint researcher, Prof. Dato ‘Dr Nor Aieni Hj Mokhtar, Associate Professor Ir Dr. Eng. Ahmad Fitriadhy, Dr Mohd Sofiyan Sulaiman and Prof Ir Dr. Ahmad Jusoh.After the discussion and briefing sessions, NAHRIM’s representatives took a visit to the existing wave-breaking site and traveled around UMT campus. Hopefully this cooperation will bring NAHRIM and UMT to a higher level.
