Arunkumar, the PPKK student was awarded as the best presenter on CORIC 2019

Two students from the Electronic and Instrumentation program of the School of Ocean Engineering, Arunkumar Subramaniam’s and Nordiyana Mohd Izan were among 4 UMT’s participation in the Community Research & Innovation Competition (CORIC) 2019. The participation of PPKK students represented UMT in CORIC which was held from 19 to 21 April 2019 at Universiti Sains Malaysia Pulau Pinang. In this competition, Arunkumar is under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Salisa Abdul Rahman was awarded the BEST PRESENTER in conjunction with the CORIC 2019.

The CORIC concept is ‘The Power of Idea: 17 Goals for Communities’. Cited from the United Nation general assembly in 2015, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aim to unite global action to address the challenges of today’s world, from poverty and hunger to equality and security.
