The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UMT and Fitch Learning Limited, the organization behind the internationally renowned Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF).

The collaboration aims to promote education, knowledge sharing, and professional engagement in quantitative finance. Through this partnership, UMT students and academics will gain access to the CQF Institute’s global network, professional resources, industry insights, conferences, workshops, and career development opportunities.

The initiative was spearheaded by Assoc. The collaboration reflects UMT’s commitment to strengthening international engagement and providing students with greater exposure to developments in quantitative finance, financial engineering, risk analytics, and financial technology (FinTech).

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Che Mohd Imran, the partnership marks an important milestone for quantitative finance education in Malaysia.
