The field of marine engineering is one of the areas of focus that is a priority in teaching and research activities at the School of Ocean Engineering. In an effort to strengthen the field of Maritime Technology, PPKK has received a working visit from Professor Adjung Nazery Khalid from Boustead Heavy Industry Corporation Berhad on May 12, 2019.
In conjunction with the presence of Professor Adjung Nazery Khalid, he presented lectures to students of Bachelor of Applied Science (Maritime Technology) to share experiences and ideas and provide opportunities for students to be exposed to the maritime industry through the sharing of his expertise in the marine industry.
During the visit, there were also discussions with the management of PPKK and Maritime Technology lecturers to discuss about PPKK and industry activities, ideas on challenges, direction and action to develop and develop the PPKK maritime program with industry partners. PPKK also aims to provide bilateral discussions with Professor Adjung as a medium that will provide more opportunities for young researchers who still need guidance and mentors with extensive experience and networking with government and private agencies both locally and abroad. This effort is in line with the direction of PPKK to emerge as the premier study center in the field of Marine Engineering.
